"His singular, hybrid work brings us face to face with a primary and silent symbolism. He creates bas-reliefs and sculptures in wood, covered with a black, living, inhabited patina. Like a surprise in front of a landscape, one becomes a spectator almost in spite of oneself, surprised to feel moved by the desire to move in front of the pieces... As if to better grasp the totality that immediately escapes! Intimacy with the work can give rise to tranquillity. The pieces have no title. The work as a whole composes the "silence of thought".
